Service Description

FamilyBooks is a secure digital vault for family information. It provides a private, encrypted space to organize and store important documents, records, contacts, and wishes — and to share them with the family members you choose.

The service is designed to help families prepare for the unexpected by keeping critical information organized, accessible, and protected.

Account Terms

You must be at least 18 years of age to create a FamilyBooks account. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, including your password and any multi-factor authentication methods. FamilyBooks cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access to your account.

Each person should maintain only one FamilyBooks account. Family members who need access to shared information should be added as authorized users within an existing account.

Acceptable Use

FamilyBooks is intended for storing legitimate family documents and personal information — things like wills, insurance policies, medical contacts, financial records, passwords, and final wishes.

You agree not to use FamilyBooks for any unlawful purpose, to store content that violates the rights of others, or to attempt to circumvent the security measures of the service. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Payment Terms

FamilyBooks offers a Standard plan at $99 per year or $9.95 per month. This includes full access to all features for your entire family — unlimited users and unlimited document storage.

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and you will retain access through the end of your current billing period.

Data Ownership

You own your data. Everything you store in FamilyBooks belongs to you. We do not claim any ownership rights over the information, documents, or content you place in your vault.

Our role is to store your data securely and make it accessible to the people you authorize. We do not use, analyze, or monetize your content in any way.

Limitation of Liability

FamilyBooks is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we work diligently to maintain a reliable and secure service, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or absolute security.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FamilyBooks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the service.

Termination

You may close your FamilyBooks account at any time. We recommend exporting your data before doing so, as account closure will result in the permanent deletion of all stored information.

FamilyBooks reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms of service. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and provide an opportunity to export your data before deletion.
